Here I am only going to explain how to make the laser cut parts and the soldering parts. You can watch our video from the exhibition on 'Learning is Delicious' where I first presented these instructions. For complete details, check Instructables.

I am going to show you how to make a ice cream machine. There are two parts: the laser cutting part and the circuit part, I am going to show you how to make the circuit part.

Part 1

Step 1: Strip the power source not all the way but until you see the red(+) and black(-) wire.

Step 2: Strip the black(-) and red(+) wires from the power source. Then strip two more wires on both sides. A black(-) one and a red(+) one.

Step 3: You need to solder the black(-) wire to the black(-) wire and the red(+) wire to the red(+) wire at °650.

Step 4: Connect the red(+) wire that you connected to the power source to the off switch by soldering at °650.

Step 5: Strip another red(+) wire on both sides and solder one end to the on the on switch on the switch and the other side to any side of the motor at °650.

Step 6: Connect the black(-) wire that you connected to the power source to the other side of the motor at °650. Then cover all of all of the circuit with electric tape.

Step 7: Try to see if the motor works immediately.

 

Part 2

Step 1: Measure the diameter of the 6 inch tall metal container  and make a circle that size for the diameter on coreldraw.

Step 2: Take the bigger plastic container and measure the inside with a caliper and the draw the diameter on coreldraw.

Step 3: Select the bigger circle then,at the top left corner select the center dot and it will show the X and Y coordinates and do the same for the smaller circle but make sure the X and Y coordinates for the center are the same.

Step 4: Make a 0.73 by 5.19 rectangle and put a 0.19 in diameter circle in the middle

Step 5: Make two 0.1 inch lines and connect both lines to the middle circle, one on the bottom and one on the top. Both need to be on the edge. Then make two 0.1 in diameter circles    and do the same thing that you did for the middle circle then delete both lines.

Step 6: Select all of the shapes in the rectangle and the the rectangle and then find the group and click the group.

Step 7: Make two 2.33 by 0.28 rectangles and turn one 90 degrees then put one in the middle of the other and then select one, press SHIFT then select the other rectangle and weld on the top.

Step 8: Make a 0.13 by 0.13 square and a 0.15 in diameter circle put the square over the circle. Then select the circle, press shift and select the square. Then press back minus front and make the bottom to top 0.121. Then put the cut circle in the center of the cross.

Step 9: Make 4 0.29 by 0.12 rectangles and position them 0.30 in away from one down one up and one down do the same with both of the sides but turn them 90°.

Step 10: Make a 2.36 by 5.08 0.28 by 1.51 and make 4 copies and put one on the top right corner and put the other one on the opposite side or the piece is going break do the same with the bottom. Then copy one rectangle two times and mace the rectangles shorter and put them on the top 0.76 away from each other and 0.517 away from the node or corner then merge everything.

Step 10: Make a 2.36 by 5.08 0.28 by 1.51 and make 4 copies and put one on the top right corner and put the other one on the opposite side or the piece is going break do the same with the bottom. Then copy one rectangle two times and mace the rectangles shorter and put them on the top 0.76 away from each other and 0.517 away from the node or corner then merge everything.
