I am going to show you how an ice cream machine works. You can watch my video on how I explained it at our exhibition on 'Learning is Delicious'

"Learning is Delicious" Our Portfolio students wowed their families at our first exhibition, a celebration of the learning from their 8 week exploration, "Learning is Delicious," immersing us in math, history, science, engineering, art, and literature related to the beloved treat, ice cream. Our exhibition was an ice cream party!

First I am going to explain the electric circuit. There is a motor a switch and power supply. The switch acts like a gate for electrons. The electrons want to go to the motor from the power supply. When the switch turns on the motor starts spinning and the mixer mixes the ice cream . The mixer makes the ice cream fluffy because the motor brings air in the ice cream.

Why do we need ice? We bring ice  because it makes the ingredients cool while the ice cream is mixing .

Why do we need salt? Because the ice wants to melt and the salt keeps the mix colder.

If you want to make your own machine, check out the full instructions on Instructables.
